This guy was only around for 2 weeks this year.
I've been after this 8pt for 2yrs now. He sticks to our property for the most part but doesn't move in the daylight after his velvet drops.
The guy that rents mine had his standard contract that I just looked over and used. its a written contract and I get paid once a year in December. I'm in WI and anything over $600 you have to report as income so he sends me a W2 or whatever it is in January for taxes.
The couple I shot with my .223 this year both dropped like rocks. One shoulder shot and one right up through the back and out the front of the neck running away.
What times of day do most of you call? Just morning and evening? Or during the day too? I got one last sunday right at first light with a yote bark followed by a cottontail squeal. Saw some out mid day cruising fields too.
Anyone ever use these? My wife got me one from Scheels for Christmas. It looks like it'll be alright if I don't put the armrests on that came with it. Looks similar to a lone wolf and about the same price.
Trying to decided if I should go out. Hunting land is an hour away and my kid is in daycare until 7:00pm....might have to see if they can keep him til 8:00!
Thought I'd give it a go. Not sure what kind of brush I'm using here but it really has an odor when you rub the bark off. We'll see what happens! I've got the top and the bottom of the tree stuck in. No camera right on it but I have one about 10yds away on a water hole. I'll move it to the trees...
Was on top of a mountain in Wyoming mule deer hunting. Remember turning the radio on in the truck late in the day and it was complete chaos. Would have never even known that day if I wouldn't have happened to turn that on.
