I can't believe Rick Whitaker's name hasn't been brought up yet. Lives in between Knoxville and Pella. He only works on whitetails. Great guy to work with to at a reasonable price for the high quality of work.
The pack rack is awesome. I love it.
I would rattle more towards the middle of the morning or afternoon.....anytime the action is slow. A little rattling might get that big boy that is bedded down to see what is going on.
Grunting and rattling are two totally different things. In my opinion, I use grunting to try and get a buck to close the distance. Grunting at a deer makes them more cautious and curious to check out the noise. Grunting shows there is another buck in the area.
