I don't think it affects their cycle at all, but I do think it affects the movement you see during the daytime. But I agree....all things being equal I'd rather be comfortable than frozen! :way:

Yep! Sounds like a pretty major front too if the weather guess holds up. Saturday highs near 70 here & Sunday high of 36. Hopefully the wind isn't blowing 50 mph. But it's coming on the 11th, which in the past for me has been 'The Day' that the switch turns in my area and the front should...

I'm in NW, IA too and that's what I would have done. I'm personally not seeing any rut activity, although some buddies who hunt the area have seen a little. Temps are supposed to be warmer this week anyway and from my notes the last 3 years Nov 11th is when I've started seeing a lot of rutting...

According to the clock, yes. But the deer know we change time too so they don't start coming out until an hour later so you don't really need to get up any earlier....just keep the same schedule & you'll be fine.

I've been using this line quite a bit, but not necessarily with 'gets married' (although I do have a wedding in a couple weeks). My wife seems to be tiring of me saying "Who (insert anything that doesn't allow me to sit in a tree) in November?" Chicks are weird! :grin:

The guy has TONS of patience & savy! If I were sitting in that blind I would have no doubt screwed it up by trying to grunt at him or do something else stupid. I just don't think I could have the kind of patience he does to just sit there & not try to get the deer a little closer after being...

I've been shooting it for 3 years now too and have never had a problem cleaning. I wet a patch with the BH209 cleaner and run it down the barrel a couple times then push a brush down it a few times, then another damp swab and then 2 passes with a boresnake. Always comes out clean as a whistle.

You honestly couldn't pay me to use anything other than Blackhorn 209. It is the best thing to happen to muzzleloading since inline 209 ignition.

SHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I think it migrated from southern Iowa and it was just a freak deal. Nothing more to see in western IA....move along people, move along.

I absolutely would not be able to function knowing I had a deer like that on my property. I would mess it up 10 different ways before I ever got the chance to see him & fall out of my tree and/or soil my pants if he ever did show up. Not to mention my wife would leave me due to all the time...

Oddly, that's one of the first things that I thought of when he hit the ground, even before I came down from the tree. Ya, I definitely plan on doing that! I think that's the best part of the story, not to mention that I'd never got him if it weren't for that pic. I forgot to add to my story...
