It just happened to be the buck I'm after.....which I missed at 30yds!!! When I hung that stand earlier this year I envisioned the ideal spot for the deer to be when I took the shot which is right where he was! Gotta love bow hunting!!! When everything goes just right there is is still a lot that can go wrong! Shot the bow after I got home and confirmed it was the Indian and not the bow at fault.
 
That sucks but I love your attitude about it! This would be a "sorry just had to vent a little" post for a lot of people. Keep after him!
 
Had one of those attitudes last year after I back strapped a nice 10pt. Lost a lot of sleep over that one. Kinda let it ruin the rest of my season so with a lot of good hunting yet I'm gonna get back at it and hopefully be able to post in the harvest thread!!
 
If you havnt missed. Then you havnt shot many. A clean miss is better than a bad hit. Wait until you drill one in the top of the shoulder at 12 yards and watch him shake it off after 2" of penetration and keep after the doe he was with. That will get to you. 535 grain arrow, 72 lb bow. Cut on contact broadheads. Still scratch my head and feel sick after that happened. Good news is it didn't hurt him a bit, made him a lot smarter though. I made that shot in 2010. This year he will be 9.5 yrs old and number 1 on my kill list.
