If you till up beans now you have more weed competition when brassicas are growing. IF you have bare soil now then I would broadcast seed and it will grow if we get rain. Broadcasting brassicas work great. Just need rain to push the seed down. Just watch the forecast and when we have a good rain...
Matt has a few good points he mentioned in the podcast. After listening to Matt on several other occasions and this podcast I think he is fueled my so much hate in his heart. I hope he finds time to meet on common ground with Steve. Sure seems like a lot of jealously coming out of Matt.
Next year try and get them in a few weeks sooner. Work the soil up with a tiller if at all possible. Then broadcast beans into loose soil. Then cultipack them beans down with anything you have handy. Loose soil is the key. Don't broadcast beans on a hard surface soil.
Rec land prices have been increasing a crazy percentage over this short amount of time for sure!! But, if you make good money, or saved up over time... buy your farm. You only live once and you might as well do what you love. If you can afford a piece then I would absolutely recommended buying...
