    Wintergreens

I like them as they are easy to plant and mine grew as tall as my knees. What I really liked about them is my plots are small so the deer can wipe out them out quickly and most of my deer goodies are gone or dead by December 1st depending when the area crops come out. The wintergreen don't get...

    Wintergreens

I have used them the last 2 years and they are the best late season attraction besides standing soybeans.

    help!!!

Definitely forget the corn & beans, I would wait till the last week of July or first week of August and split the 3 acre plot into brassica, winter wheat and a mix area with some oats in there because they are going to die off at the first good frost and this would leave some food in that area...

    Milo as a foodplot

It is too doughy early in the year and the deer won't touch it until it turns later in the fall. Deer hammer it on my farm and it is enjoyable to sit by and watch the birds as they love it as much as the deer. I use it in smaller food plots the deer feed on as they move toward the bigger fields.

"Too High" Deer Density = Smaller Bucks????

I would think that most of those large massive bucks you talk about don't live in the high populated areas but outside the area in a secluded summer location since the does get the best areas to raise their fawns in. They enter the high density areas in the fall because there are alot of does...

    Wintergreens

I have used wintergreens the last 2 years and the deer love them. I started with maximum from biologic and they seemed to work well and I think they are a good product but the wintergreens were hit earlier and heavier than the maximum. After the last 3 years I will never not have some brassica...

    Next years possible target

We let this buck go this year hoping that he would make it through all the seasons and it looks like he did make it. Not too big yet but being a 3.5 (I think) and pretty heavy hopefully he will put some inches on. The deer in the background are feeding on what is left of my brassica patch. In...

    Bat at mineral lick

This doe was at my mineral lick for 16 photo's in a row, with the camera set on 1 minute delay. Wonder if all the flashing brought insects in which in turn brought the bat by at just the right time. Or maybe it's picking the mosquitos off buzzing the deer anyway it is my first bat trail picture.

    Night time bucks

I have been getting alot of buck pictures but ones with any horns at all seem to be coming out only at night. The heat would do that to me too I guess if I had to live outdoors full time. [image]http://www.iowawhitetail.com/photopost/data/515/114Big_Brow_7-26-07-med.JPG
