Just had a small 8 cruise through. Wanted no part of my decoy.

Saw 10 this morning after 4 straight sits last weekend without seeing a deer. A ten pointer that I would have shot busted me as I went to stand to prepare for a shot. He was nudging and chasing a doe and would have come right underneath the stand. He was the only buck that I saw.

The Hercules hooks work well actually.

You want the bullet directly on top of the powder pellets. This is the most consistent way to load. Just be careful and you won't crush the pellets.

If you shoot a lead slug out of a rifled barrel repeatedly you fill the rifling with lead. This is not a good thing.

Easton Axis 340, 100 Grain 2-Blade Rage, 2 inch orange blazer vanes, 4 inch white arrow wrap. Rarely get complete pass through, but when the shot is placed correctly, I don't lose deer as someone said above. This set-up has worked well for me.

i've got about as dark of hair as you could find and that is all i use. i shower before every hunt and i've never had that happen.
