    Card reader for Driod phones

Good deal. I may have to grab one. Not out much if it doesn't work. Thanks.

    Card reader for Driod phones

Looks like it would be pretty handy. I'd be a little nervous about the "may require reformatting to work with your phone" since then it might not be compatible with your camera or worse it erases all your pictures to work with your phone. Keep us posted when you get it.

    Fran's temper

I'm not much of a basketball fan, although I did listen most of the game on wmt last night. I just think it's ironic that so many people are down on Fran for being too emotional and a lot of the same people are down on Ferentz for not showing enough emotion. I think Fran is a good coach and he...

    Carcass cam

I started piling deer carcasses behind my house with a camera on them just to change some things up and get some neat non deer pictures through the winter. The camera is a covert red 40. I can't say enough how happy I am with this camera. Battery life is exceptional, trigger seems very fast, and...

    Propane shortage

They just put 300 gallons in my tank Monday at $1.39. I should have enough on my contract to get me through. Hopefully they honor the price. I've been burning a lot in the fireplace to supplement this year.

Biggest Learning Lessons of the Season?

I'm going to run my cameras in areas that don't require as much intrusion as I did this year. I'll also have to spend more time scouting a property I don't hunt as much as I'm betting the non resident guys that hunt my main property will draw this year. We always let them have the run of the...

    Winke-Brandstad Interview

I'm going to be optimistic and say Bill and Terry had more meaningful conversation off camera. I think Bill is knowledgeable and well spoken, but I doubt he'd be able to get Terry to go on record saying we need more deer.

Bacon wrapped stuffed deer loin. OMG DELICIOUS

I wasn't aware there could ever be too much bacon...

Whats the best broadheads on the market today?

I've used several different heads and almost all of them worked as they should. For fixed blades I can't see myself shooting anything other than slick trick magnums. I've used a couple different mechanicals this year and both have been excellent. My favorite is the wasp Jak-Hammer but the last...

    Last hour of vacation buck

I take November 7th-12th off every year. There was a serious lack of action this year which made me second guess my timing. I spent 49 hours in the stand from Thursday through Tuesday and only saw two bucks that I would call big, plus this guy, who was younger and smaller than I normally would...

    A day of FIRSTS!

Good stuff man. Congrats on a fine day.

    Tag soup..

I think the two day gap is because that's the gap between gun seasons when there's no established seasons open. Other than that, I'm no help in this topic, but I hope you can get the right tag

What to do after the kill

I have a fridge on my porch that we use for garden stuff in the summer and deer in the fall. I just quarter them and stick them in the fridge for a couple days.

    field dressing gloves

I buy the hs gloves. I tried the bulk packages, but I like having them wrapped up ready to go. You can also use the bag to stuff the gloves in when you're done so you don't get blood in your pockets. I sometimes forget them and end up bare handing it, but I prefer gloves, especially during gun...

    Boot Care products?

I'm not sure where you're at, but a lot of Harley Davidson dealers carry Obenaufs. It smells a little like honey at first, but it goes away pretty fast. I've used it on all my boots for years and I love it.

    Fixing a trail camera

A lot of the camera manufacturers have a customer service procedure and a few will replace cameras even if they are out of warranty. I don't know of anyone who fixes them. Figure out the brand and call them. The worst they could do is tell you it's not covered or repairable.

    trail cams

I love my coverts. I've got a red 40 that has been in the timber for a year and taken probably 20,000+ pictures and I haven't changed batteries yet. I have a couple mp6's as well and I don't think you'll find a better camera for the money.

    Pop Up Blind Regulation Question

I'm pretty sure you are only required to have the orange during sg1 and sg2. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea on public at other times, but wouldn't be required.

    Mythical "space"

I think a lot of shots in the backstraps get classified into this category. The problem is the spinal cord is several inches below the backline. I think when a shot hits the vertebrae but above the cord, people mistakenly think they hit below the spine, but obviously above the lungs.

    No one's perfect.

November 7, 2005 8:15am. A 150ish 10 pt sneaked in behind me. I had been sitting with my bow laid across my lap. When I drew, the arrow stayed against the riser and the back of my broadhead caught the riser and pulled the arrow off the string. I let down and got my arrow squared away. By then he...
