Everything we shoot is topped with Leupold and love em all. Tried some others but always came back. Now that's all we use.

If you have the space set up enough stands or blinds that no matter what way the wind is blowing you can hunt with it in your face. Not really a secret, more of a staple, if you have enough land. But I also store my clothes in leaves, and even let them hang on the clothes line over nights.

I just picked up an XDM .45 and I love it. Great shooter, but a little big for carry or at least "conceal" purpose. M&P's are a good shooter too. I would go with 9mm for shear cost of shooting as the others said.

That is pretty cool and he even gave away the secret to growing big horn....the occasional doughnuts that he gets! Forget the mineral, I'm setting out a dozen Caseys doughnuts. :)

I saw it yesterday and the whole judges panel thing is a joke. The shots they moan about happen to them too they just don't put em on TV!

I am shooting the G5 montec as well. No complaints here. They shoot true and blow a pretty good hole. Tough as nails as well and re-sharpening is really easy. Haven't tried any others so far since I'm only a few years into my bow hunting career but if it's not broke don't fix it right!

I agree with most others, just go out and shoot them all. When you shoot it, it will just feel good all around. I currently shoot a PSE and love it, shot a lot of others and to me it felt the best, and if price is an issue a lot of the mid ranged bows are nice for a reasonable price.

I feel for you guys and all who live along the river. Our prayers are with all in the affected areas. I don't understand how they say it will be flooded for most of the summer. Don't flood waters usually receed quicker than that? Or are they just continually releasing that much water for that long?

I would like to know how the deer population "hinder economic development"? What, is the deer herd going to outbid you on the land to put your new business? If anything you would think that the money we hunters put into our communities and communities that we hunt in would help the economy.

I think I am leaning the way of the 40 cal in either the S&W or the XD. Main reason I was looking at the 45 is that I already have a 45 and I also have the dies and equipment for reloading 45's, but it can't hurt to add another caliber to my collection can it! :)
