Go to your nearest army surplus and get some Micky mouse boots. Think I paid $70 for a pair last year in Marion. They work great for late muzzleloader. They are a little heavy. Plenty of room for foot warmers too. I just wear one pair of socks and good to go. Stepped in a creek, just poured out...
The article does a good job of misleading the voting public. The landowners still have the right to hunt on their properties, just have to wait every couple years for a buck tag. They can probably get a doe tag every year and hunt any other critter but buck deer. They knew this when they...
I would recommend you log the mature timber first then sell. Or make sure your asking price reflects the timber value as well. The smaller tract will sell no problem, with or without mature timber.
Very similar to Troy gentry buck from Kentucky, but doesn't look to be the same. That deer had a kicker on right g2 and did not have the palmation on the end of the left beam.
Give him plenty of time. Noon at least. I hit one back last year. Bedded down near tree stand after shot, I thought he was going to expire quickly. He got up after several attempts and walked off slowly. Went in next morning and bumped him. Backed out till following morning and found him another...
Thanks. I did some digging and looked for some different keywords. It must have been Springbrook laser engraving. They will be at the classic in 13 as well.
I'm looking for some help identifying a vendor from this spring's deer classic. The vendor made antler and turkey plaques and frames from barn boards and rough sawn lumber. I think they were out of Minnesota. There was a post looking for this vendor early this spring. I had a business card but...
Thanks LIV. That's what I thought, but hadn't bought a second tag. Reading about everyone doubling up with a bow got me to thinking. Last season I had a 4th season gun-bow combo so I could run and gun if I had to. I have tagged one Tom this week and should have plenty of time to bag another with...
Being fairly new to bowhunting turkeys, can a hunter get two bow tags? Are they both good for all four seasons? I thought you had to wait until fourth season to take a second bird. Any help would be appreciated.
Great buck Chris! Congrats. I heard u got a good one and thought maybe you'd post it in the harvest forum. Thanks.
Was kind of in a bad mood the day I posted; I apologize, didn't need to call u out. You've shared way more info with others than I ever have.
No offense bowman, but you just broke an important man law on this sight. No pictures makes a post worthless.
PMA can throw us a bone every once in a while. I've helped multiple PMA members out over the years, including ONECAM. It'd be nice to see the favor returned. Haven't seen a single pic...
Nice job and thanks for getting the word out. I believe though that Iowa hunters way outnumber Iowa farmers. There are only 92,000 farms in Iowa, and that number is decreasing annually. Almost as quickly as Iowa hunters.:(
