1962: 500 lb Iowa deer
At one time I live weighed every deer I shot for possibly 10-15 years. Most of the larger mature bucks I shots weighed very close to 250 lbs. The largest buck I have ever harvested weighed 275 lbs. and ironically he turned out to only be 3&1/2. I wonder how big he would have been a few years...- Stoney

Blind window ? Open or shut
I don’t hunt much out of ground blinds but if I need a window open to be able to shoot, I always open it beforehand. I’d rather be forced to sit still than chance spooking a deer opening a window.- Stoney

HOW LONG LIVE? Stomach & maybe liver- PIC!!!
On a pure stomach hit, at least 16 hours. From your picture, it looks like a much better shot though and that’s puzzling. It’s hard to argue with what’s on the arrow. I would hate to jump him, he’s probably going to bed within 200-300 yards and if not bumped, die in his bed. 8 hours would be a...- Stoney
