Never did really understand the rule of only being allowed 3 rounds for waterfowl. Is there a reason why?

There were 3 groups including ours on Sunday all within a 1.5 mile diameter. Pushed our farm along a creek and old railroad bed, that hadn't been pushed since 1st season, only kicked up a small 8pt. Figured a lot of the deer woulda been chased into ours, guess not.

Got skunked on a few pushes that normally have deer. Group of 11, only 4 hanging. Numbers are down, but my group is all for the meat, so the "if its brown its down" mentality is in full force. Which is fine, unless we're hunting on our farm/area, then I have to convince them mature bucks...

Yeah, today was the last day of 1st season shotgun, then the deer get a 2 day breather before getting chased again on Saturday.

Friends girlfriend worked right next to where it was sighted, she saw it running across the field, they thought it was a horse. Evidently they think it has some worm in its brain causing it to lose sense of direction. Somebody will probably shoot it, they just better not tell anyone..

Was out from 10:30-1:30 and only 1 small buck 300 yards away on a dead run, then came back at 3 and met a doe on the way to my blind, and nothing the rest of the night, but a doe fawn and a spike. Couldn't even get the spikes attention with a grunt even being only 75 yards away it was so windy...

Thats what I have I believe, and have filed the paperwork with the DNR. Just shows on the tag that I have the season only goes till the 6th. Unless I didn't get the right one? I might need to just call them again to find out for sure.
