No easy answers here, in my book. Read the old thread and one guy summed it up best (I think)when he said you better choose a job you love, no matter what. I agree. Life is too short to spend all those hours toiling at something you hate, just so you can get some extra stand time...

I live less than an hour from Decorah (in MN)and the streams here are looking very good. A little off-color, but levels/flows are nice. I don't mind a little stain to the water, especially as summer progresses. Hope you catch some if you go!

I'd agree with piebald. Unless you're lining that mineral lick with chalk... Seriously, I hunt where there's a fair population of albino's and piebalds, and this one looks like the latter. Awesome deer!
