WOW! The winter rye has come back strong!!!! There's also lots of baby clover mixed in with this stuff. Really cool and I'm thrilled with how well it came back. First thing up for sure! And good for these too...

My plan was to spray this week, disc it up a few weeks later and plant second week of may. I have a "drill" of sorts... (one of those push seeders), but the seeds will not be broadcast. In essence they will be drilled. Then I'll hit it with a pre-emergent. At least that was the plan.

I've already got the posts set, and I'm going to try and fence it off with electric fence. We'll see how that works. Any thoughts on the question of tilling under or spraying? Steve

Update. Went out to the plot today. Pleasantly surprised at how quickly it's starting to green up. Lots of little clover popping up all over the place. Winter rye is really springing back to life quickly as well. Thanks Dbltree!
