    Roadkill

Wife smoked one 2 weeks ago. In her defense it was in a spot I wouldn't have expected and came out of a deep ditch she had no chance. But around the same time I saw deer in the ditches like crazy. No idea if it's the green up, melted snow/excess salt, or what. But as many as I saw in the ditch...

SC iowa BUST! Theft, trespass & shed poaching…

Too bad the owners didn't "purchase" and chip an antler to up the charges. I know the idea has been floated but if you spend big bucks on a shed and someone steals it from your property I'd think there would be worse charges that would stick

A Straight Walled Gun for my Wife

35 Whelan. CVA makes a single shot that is deadly. Not very expensive but I had poor experiences with both a 450 and 350 when taking youth hunters. A couple good shots and not good blood trails with lots of foliage doesn't bode well. The whelan either anchors them where they are or puts a fist...

    Lightweight hunting pants suggestions

Wrangler zipper pocket outdoor pants. 30 bucks a piece at Walmart. Alot of times on sale for half that. Gotta work to find them but that's alot of what I wear all spring, summer and early fall hunting

    First Bow Buck- Dream season!!!

Congrats! Glad he's hooked for life. And if you're reading this Charlie you can still get a gun tag I believe, or ever better yet you qualify for landowner tags that are now floating ! There's gotta be a bully buck for him somewhere!

    Camo clothing

For Iowa, I'm usually in a pair of either Wrangler or Duluth pant in brown, grey, or olive tone. Either normal or fleece lined depending on time of year. For a top I layer with merino base layers but usually have a camo hoodie, or brown flannel on top. Once it gets into the colder part of...

This cold front they won't be moving but during the next week during the warm up the coons will be running.

    If you could change-

Depending where you're at, if available most likely the whole group buys doe tags also and then anyone who burns their buck tag turns into a pusher and can't legally shoot a buck but can still actively hunt. There are a few groups here who do the same

    Broadhead discussion

I forgot to add that after my expandable experiment I wanted something that had 3 blades as well and that was the major deciding factor. I wasn't confident in a fixed head that didn't have at least 3 blades. The best results that I have seen from the Exodus was this years buck took a step on the...
