    2026 CW Cosmic Chronicles

Went out with a landowners son during third season, we got in late but somehow managed to get in clean even with a tom roosted 150 yards away in the open. I didn’t even call much that morning because there were so many turkeys that it was just chaos a single tom flew down into the field next to...

    Upside App

With gas prices headed towards the all time high I figured I’d bump this post and share my invitation code. They have a bunch of restaurants you can use it at now too. I usually save $150/yr just using it for gas and I drive a fuel efficient car. There’s a few facebook groups that have promo...

    First Season Ten Gauge Turkey

I don’t know what’s more impressive the bird or you for lugging around a 10 gauge. Probably weighs as much as the turkey. Haha. Congratulations.

Next up Chase from Tree Line Tannery and I headed to Kansas on Wednesday after I got off work. On our way down we were met by two hail storms. (Thanks, Dad, for letting us use your truck). We arrived to the house we stay at in Nebraska but is close to the Kansas border so it worked out...

    2026 CW Cosmic Chronicles

Well as always my turkey season began during Iowa’s youth season. I got the invite to head down and hunt with Rob and his son, Dakota. Rob had a game plan and we went and sat in a blind over looking a beautiful green plot. Before long turkeys started gobbling and we had one fairly close. As we...

    HF 2657 - special lottery for non-residents

Skip let me hunt his farms a few times. I think he always put me in the bad spots though because I never saw the target deer but I did see a mega typical that broke my heart on the do not shoot list. lol. He does however usually let me turkey hunt when I ask and that means more to me than he...

    Retrieving game law

People that know me, know I could care less about people’s political views because everyone values things differently in life. That being said those same people know I like to stir the pot and get people going. ;) Don’t worry I was also bamboozled by our president. Gen X is even worse than...

    Whats your Camo.?

It’s the warmest clothes we have would be my guess and it’s already “scent free”. That being said when I used to turkey hunt with a bow I’d wear black in the blind.

    Whats your Camo.?

I’ve worn plythal camo for a quite a few years now. It was cheap on CamoFire and I liked the yellow color for waterfowl hunting. For deer being able to see yellow really well they sure don’t seem to bust me as much as when I used to wear realtree camo.

You can sure tell who the boomers are in here. Probably still on board the MAGA train even though their so called hero is selling us out to Israel.

Technically putting a high fence up can be charged as hunter harassment if somebody wanted to fight it in court. You can’t deliberately put obstacles to impede on someone’s hunting it’s right in the hunter harassment laws.

    Retrieving game law

So do we want better deer hunting or do we want to ruin it more. The fact people think that hunters wouldn’t be denied is comical. How about a settle in the middle. Landowner has to be notified but they can’t deny access.

I guess you shouldn’t be able to shoot the deer on your property then because it’s the state’s deer.

    Retrieving game law

All you have to see is Sunberg’s elk story to see we have it the right way in Iowa. Elk rotted just because it died on the ranchers side and he’d rather it rot than a public land hunter harvest the bull. I know for a fact my neighbor wouldn’t let me track if the law changed to having to have...

    Retrieving game law

Technically the state protects you if someone gets hurt on your property. Until you start charging money then the responsibility is all on you.
