    Iowa hill country question?

In hill country (East Central Iowa) where do you guys generally find that the bucks bed compared to does during the fall. The area I hunt is mostly crop fields up top and wooded ditches that drop down low. I'm fairly new to this type of ground (2 long weekends of hunting total in 2 seasons)...

    Bushnell 3.0 Infrared Trail Scout

Just got this camera. Anyone else have it? How do you like it. I noticed the no flash pics are pretty dark. Also I had it set to video mode. It seems to take a video, even says there is an event on the camera, but when I take out the memory card to play the movie on my digital camera there...

    Home made mineral recipe

I used a homemade mineral recipe I got off this site. For some reason the deer are barely touching it. Its been out since April and they just aren't attacking this stuff like some of my friends mingeral licks. Any idea why this might be? Too much salt? I mixed in some dry mollases with one...

    Bushnel 2.1 and New Moultries?

I'm pretty happy with my Bushnell I bought. It has a super fast trigger time once it's activated, but I think it has a sleep mode because the first pic takes like 10 seconds. After the first one the trigger time is about 1 second. Anyone else notice this or is my camera messed up. Also...

    Suggestions on this property?

I was told I might get a better response in this if I posted it here. I posted this question about a year ago and got some really good input, so I thought I'd try it again. About 3 years ago I gained access to hunt a farm in Jackson Co. Our property is crowned fields on top, deep timbered...

    Bushnell Trail Sentry battery modification

When you put in the external battery mod on the camera so it can run off of a 6 volt, where do you put the battery when it's in the field. Do you just let it sit out in the open or do you cover it with something? Thanks.

Anyone use the Bushnell Trail Sentry 2.1

What kind of battery life are you getting on the Bushnell Trail Sentry 2.1? How does it perform. I just got one yesterday. It seemed to do well on testing.

    Trail Sentry Cabellas Cam?

What do you guys think of this camera: trigger time, flash distance, picture quality? Does it only take 4 D cell batteries and if so, how long to they last? Is there any rechargable batteries for it. Thanks for the help

    Which Trail Cam is better?

Moultrie 3.1, Stealth 2.0, or Bushnells 1.3? I assume the Moultrie will have the best picture quality, but I heard the flash distance only goes about 20 feet, where the Stealth will reach 40ft. I don't know for shure. The Bushnell is only 100 and has a pretty good review. I'm looking mostly...

    Hunting deep drainage ditches?

Just wondering if you guys could help me out. I hunt in Jackson Co. The area I hunt has the deep drainage ditches with crop fields up top. Had trouble this year getting close to big bucks. Should I be setting up on the edges, or should I try to get down along the ridge, or maybe even in a...
