I shot this buck last Wednesday afternoon. I have always loved and wanted to shoot a good 8. I did a hang and hunt on some public ground around 10 am. After setting up I started seeing deer immediately. Saw about 6 bucks 130" and under and about 6 does. Around 1:30 I saw 1 broken off shooter following a doe. I gave him the pass. 1/2 hour later I saw a 150" 10 chasing a doe but couldn't get him to stop , he had her on his mind. A couple of fawns came through then I heard a stick snap to the right if me. I saw long tines step out from the thick cover. He started to skirt around me just out pf range. I grunted at him and he turned and closed the distance. He got to 30 yards and was makings a ground scrape. He tried to cut around and get down wind and I had one opening at 25 yards.
A good 8 with good mass he carries it throughout his tines. I am real happy with him.
