Pulled a wagon blind out into a cut bean field the same afternoon I shot him (LOVE that blind). Deer don't give a rats arse about it. Have shot a ton of deer out of it.
Was sitting in the cut beans but had standing bean plot in range. Also had brassica plot and clover in range. He was headed thru the cut beans to the standing beans. He was hard quartering to at 155 yards. I just put it on his front shoulder and let it eat. He went about 75 yards.
This was kinda a bucket list deer for me. Always wanted a giant 8 point. Also was a great one to take out. 5+ years old (was at least 4 last year when he showed up late season)
Went 161-7/8". 6" bases, 12"+ 2's, 10"+ 3's.
