Hey everybody, it's killing me, but the wife and I have decided that our lab (Hunter) needs to find a new home. With having a new baby and alot of other things going on right now, we just can't dedicate the time to him that he deserves. He is a wonderful dog and it's really killing me to have to do this. He is 17 months old and completely house broke. He is papered and has a heck of a blood line. Both his mother and father were exceptional waterfowl dogs, althogh I have not trained him to hunt. He has just been our indoor buddy. I'm asking $100 and the guarantee that he will be going to a good loving home. Here are a couple pictures of him. PM me or email me if interested at lance.burke@caseys.com

He is a gorgeous dog! I forgot to add that not only does it need to be a loving home, but free of everything Hawkeye related!

That is terrible you have to get rid of him. I couldn't even imagine having to get rid of my old dog. It will break my heart bad enough when she finally leaves our family and goes to the big hunting grounds in the sky.

Good luck.

I'd rethink the decision, nothing like having a little girl grow up with a puppy! They'll be attached at the hip in a few years!

i think i might look into it...just gotta show my dad and see if he thinks its right

I wish i would have known about your dog a year ago when we lost our 5 year old chocolate, but we just got a new dog. Good luck and sorry you have to part with such a good looking dog.

I'd re-think this also, at 17 months he has just got most of the "pup" out of him and will start mellowing out. He won't need so much play time and attention. He will make a great "watch" dog for your kid, he'll watch her and make sure nothing happens to her.

Not only that, I for one think every kid needs a dog. They learn alot about how to treat people by learning how to train a dog.
