Green scored a 184" typical tonight. Gross 186 and change and netted 184 1/8. 9" G1's that are bladed about 2" wide. This is one awsome rack. Will try for a pic.

Anybody know of any 02 Booners?

Yes, I know of a Booner that was taken in Iowa in early November. Jon Hanson, an archery product specialist at the Kansas City, KS Cabela's store, killed a buck that grosses in the high 190's and nets in the 170's. The deer was taken with a bow and the hunt was filmed.

This hunt will likely be featured in North American Whitetail, and will most likely be seen on Prime Time 7.

I've seen the pictures, it's an awesome deer and Jon's a nice guy who is a true whitetail fanatic.

New to the deer scoring business... can you guys tell from the picture I sent in if mine will be a boone and crockett or not? It greenscored at 197 with a G2 of 11 6/8, G3 of 9, C1 6 4/8, C2 6 4/8 with an inside spread of 24 inches. First big buck I've gotten and not quite sure what to think of it all. Would appreciate any help. thanks

Sounds like a nice buck, would like to see a pic. My son and I hunt Allmakee county, we saw some nice bucks but did not get the clear shots and had to pass so not to wound and not recover.
 
Thanks, I'll give that a try. The guy that is gonna mount the head for me gave me some scores but I guess I'm not sure what to do with them. This will help. Stingray

Stingray, Just curious were you able to run the numbers on your deer? Also congrats on a great buck. By the way it takes 60 days from the day of harvest to officially score your deer.

Thank you. I figured it was b/c it fit the description that I have heard about his buck. Very impressive.
 
Very nice rack!!!
The buck I shot had a similar rack, but atypical and less symmetrical.
Do you plan to do a head and shoulder mount or just the rack?

we have more pictures, not sure how to run this silly computer. I looked at the B&C site, including minimum scores and the two books. I'm guessing it will qualify for the lower book of the two. Dempster from Delhi is doing the taxidermy, got right at 197 gross on Nov. 11. I'm looking forward to 60 day period, so I can learn even more, has been alot of fun.
