i always use roundup to kill off weeds before planting. I seem to always have a minor weed issue in my plots that stunt growth. Would you guys recommend 2 4 d and where can a guy buy it?

Echo above question on weeds.

If do get it... 2,4-d ESTER is what u want - do not buy amine. Any farm store or coop. Get low volitility 4 or 6 formulation of Ester. Read label on delay on planting.

I use both round up and 24d in the tank.

I do too- if the weeds I’m dealing with are anything like: pigweed, waterhemp, lambsquarter, marestail, etc. that’s the tough category u need to throw a lot at.... spray when smaller if possible.... add ammonium sulfate or comparable & go at higher rates of label so u for sure get kill.
