Special thanks to Pharmer for letting me hunt his 32 acres that he has for sale in Washinton County. It is right next to the Sockum Ridge Public Hunting Ground. I can only imagine what this spot is like during the Rut. If anyone is looking to buy some hunting land, I highly recommend this spot. But you better do it quick, cause Ive got a crazy idea in my head about buying it myself and putting a little log cabin on it... ha ha.

Greg- I was glad to hear you had success down there. Happy to have someone shoot some there, they tend to be pretty predictable depending on the wind and surrounding crop fields. Thanks for the plug on the land for sale. Pharmer
 
That's awesome. We had 2 different guys in our late muzzle loader group do that. It's really awesome until you have to drag 2 deer out with only 3 people. twice in one day.
 
Try draging 2 big does out by yourself. One up and over a 4' fence (with a row of barbed wire at the top). Then loading them in the back of a GMC Jimmy. Good thing is was down hill, and the road was only 200 feet away. :p

I wish I had found that third deer. Man, 3 in one day. WOW. Since I process the meat myself, I might have actually had to break down and donate one to HUSH /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif Next year I will, I promise.

Still a few days left, my wife has FORBID me to go out again, should I sneak away from work.... ha ha ha...

I am learning, slowly but surely, next year should be AWESOME

You don't want to know my answer. My wife has forbidden me to go deer huntin since it started. She is already telling me I can not go turkey hunting and deer hunting next year.
Until she gets to this point YOU HAVE NOT BEEN GOING TO MUCH.
Get out there and keep cleaning up. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

As far as learning you will always learn something from the guys here just keep listening.

My wife told me to stop bringing deer home back in October, so I've been giving them away and taking them to HUSH. If she meant I was to stop hunting, she should have picked her words a little more carefully. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
 
Yep, I cleared my schedule, I will be out again on Saturday /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif I love these counties that still have tags available... My wife said she wants to take one of my deer to get it turned into sausage and sticks, so I said "then I need to go get another deer" /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I also want to look for that one I wounded and see where it ended up and how I hit it, that is if the coyotes haven't finished it by then.
