Got my second bird of the year this morning. First season I shot my first bird ever, a jake. This morning my first longbeard was in the bag at 5:34 AM. With all the rain last night I was able to set up about 75 yards from his roost. He came right in to some soft yelps strutting, gobbling, and drumming the whole way. Put him down at about 20 yds. Ten inch beard, hardly any spurs. I'm guessing he was a two year old? I had an awesome awesome time hunting the bluff country in NE Iowa. Best of luck to the rest of you the rest of 4th!
