The start of my turkey seasons didn't go as good as planned do to some crappy weather and some missing. Needless to say I was in a blind for 5 13 hour days. FILMING. Finally it was my time to hunt. After an hour in the blind I was able to fill my first tag.
Wednesday night the wife and I went to SW Iowa. She was set to hunt second season, but that didn't open for another day so we decided to hunt Thursday morning and then around noon we would set up in the "Kill Zone" for her to hunt Friday. Well an hour into the my hunt on Thursday I was able to fill my second tag.
After filling my second tag we went and set up the blind for her to hunt and then went to the zoo! Friday morning we had another quick hunt. By 7:30 her tagged was filled! She made a great shot with her new 20 gauge!
My cousin was down at the ranch with us and he hunted all day with no luck. So I decided I would take him out today and see if I could call one in for him. Once again he was tagged out by 0700!
So 4 birds in 4.5 hours! Call it luck, call it right place right time, call it whatever you want, but it was a blast! God is good! Hope everyone has a great Easter!
