Oh yes, much more than I should. Have any bucks specifically targeted yet? I have one - sounds like another post though.

actually there is 2 one that i seen at the end of last year on a different property and one on this new property i haven't exactly seen him but his tale-tale signs says he is a big one

New property always gets my blood flowing . . . you just never know what may walk under your stand.

I'll be focusing my efforts on a buck we call twelve pack - typical 12 point that scored in the 170's last year. Now if I can only get him to walk by my stand.

Anybody else have one spotted for this year. Any nicknames given yet?

I have actually got 3 bucks in my sights this year. The first buck is one I blew a shot on last fall a week before I killed my 140. He was a 10 pointer running at about 150. I found his right side this spring. The other is a buck I have not seen but found the shed, It should easily score 160 this year. The tool that has helped me the most is my camtrakker. I hope to get some photo's of these boys, I have it out right now.

I don't know what kind of score the buck I have my eye on would do. I've seen him twice at 400 yards or so and could never count tines but the height and width were impressive in binoculars. I guessed him to be close to 24 inches wide and tall tines and typical. The land owner has seen him several times much closer. With glasses, from his deck, he counted 14 points. A friend saw him a couple of times to closer than me and he thought he would do 180. After much more scouting this spring I think I may have a better idea of his where abouts. Hopefully I can get him on a game cam this summer. I'm like you Onecam. I think about it way more than I should.

I've got one buck in mind, that has haunted my dreams ever since i screwed up on him early muzzleloader. its a long story but to make it short, that dang double safety on knight muzzleloaders is reatarded, the only time ive ever put it on because i was bored and playing with it screwed me on a buck of a lifetime. ive only seen the buck once early muzzleloader but my budday saw him in his headlights pulling into the place i hunt late muzzleloader and nobody got him. he was a huge beautiful 12 pointer with everything you could imagine on a huge buck, he had sticker points off of almost all of his tines. i would say he would at least score in the 170's without all those sticker points, so his gross score, i dont even have a clue what he would score. i dont even know how many points he is but all i know is he is a monster. hope i get a crack at him with my bow or gun, good luck to all on those bucks you are all chasing.

I've set my sights on a huge non-typical buck I encountered this previous bow season. There was a shed found on a small piece of private land near my hunting area that scored 103"

I saw a picture of the shed and there was a striking resemblance to the shed and the buck I had seen. Can't wait to chase him this year!

HIS NAME IS LIGHTBULB. HE GAVE ME ONLY ONE LOOK LAST YEAR. HE WAS JUST TEASING ME.. HE WAS IN THE OPEN AT ABOUT 70 YARDS AND JUST MILLED AROUND NOT COMMING ANY CLOSER FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES. HE HAS NICE TINE LENGTH BUT IS NOT VERY WIDE. THE TINES GO UP AND TOGETHER LOOKING LIKE A LIGHTBULB. LAST YEAR I GUESS HIM AT ABOUT 130-140. GOD I CANT WAIT FOR FALL!!

The T.V. deer is my main concern this year. The reason I call him the T.V. deer is the only time I have seen him within 60 yards is on t.v. after I have videotaped him 2 years in a row. I have filled my tag both years before Oct 30 due to time restraints. I have been able to get out more in Oct. than in Nov. I have got out enough in Nov. though to catch him on videotape.
Anyway he is a huge tined wide main framed 8 pointer with a 4-5 inch sticker coming out and down off his left side. I'm going to say 160-165 from last years video.
I'm not sure it was him but I saw a deer with huge velvet stubs during turkey season about 50 yards from where I videotaped him the last 2 years.

I would like to see this guy in my sights during bow season. Heck, for that matter, I'd just be glad to see him. This is the best trail camera photo I got last year (with a VMAN special), although I did get some night photos of this buck during the rut. I think I will be extremely lucky to get near him, because the place he has been seen on is just a 40 acre parcel that I hunt. The deer in this area seem to run from one cover to another without noticeable patterns. The landowner tells me that he has seen a huge buck (body size) several times, and that this one is not that buck. Not sure how often I'll hunt this property, but my son and I will give this buck at least a few chances to surrender.
