2012 Recap....

I thought it would be neat to see a recap of everyone's 2012 season in pictures and not so many words. It can be anything you want to share squirrels, turkeys, pheasants, kids hunting, trapping, deer etc... I will start...

Spring Turkey

Bird #1 at 10 yards with a bow with my buddy Fred in the blind.

Opening Day Doe Bow. 15 yards. 1st attempt at pictures by self. Scary!

Shotgun buck left with Muzzleloader at 100 yards. Bow buck on right at 10 yards.

Favorite shed ATL

Had a great spring turkey trip in South Dakota with a good friend.

First bird in Iowa with a bow, on video. Two pix here....

Final Doe of the year, and likely the last deer for me as an Iowa resident. Great way to go out!

Good idea! I had a good season, didn't get my 2nd buck killed but hey you can't win them all.

I killed 2 does with my bow and 1 with a muzzleloader. The freezer is full and I'm already itching to harpoon a turk in April.

I bow hunted from end of Oct to the 28th of Nov. Saw 16 deer. eight different yr old and two yr old bucks.Finally, 16th of Nov, I saw this 3yr old. Let does pass. End of Season.file://2012 buck

I never got the chance to hunt him, but running cameras on probably the biggest wild whitetail I will ever see, was definitely a highlight of my year. I have well over 150 great pics of him from the start in april untill he stripped his velvet off on one of my mock rub trees.

Shed hunting the prairie.....

I only purchased one tag this last spring.

Built some knives......

Picked some morels.....

Took some photos......

Put out game cameras.....

Put meat in the freezer in November.....

Ate tag soup in December's muzzleloader season. Decided to grab the camera instead of the gun on this gal...

Watched some great sunrises and sundowns.....

Enjoyed time spent with my wife of 35 years....

Looking forward to what this year brings.:way:

Tough turkey season for me. Hunted two states and only got one. At home they stayed on the neighbors.

Then like Shovel I put the trail cams out.

Muzzleloader buck. Bully!

Two ole nannies from the doe season.

And when you ain't catching fish you have to roast marshmallows. Grandsons are the best. You won't find these two around video games very little!
