Had a really cool hunt yesterday. I hunted Tuesday and felt I should have been in a deer stand with the weather 
This bird flew down in another field with two others and I honestly didn't think I had a chance as they started heading the other way. I decided to lay it on them with a mouth call and slate.... and they turned on a dime. I honestly should have had a double but couldn't pull it off.
Its definitely getting tougher to get out with a growing family and work but I really do enjoy it when I do get a chance to go. Definitely something special about the spring
Looking forward to taking my son out for mushrooms soon.
