2014 Shotgun Buck

This is my 2014 shotgun buck. He is not a trophy in the scoring sense, but he is the first deer I have killed on my own property. I purchased this farm last winter. It is 120 acres of mostly crop (I farm) with some wooded draws running though it. There is 5 acres that I had planted in beans that I could not harvest due too the heavy rains taking out my river crossing. My brother and I hunt some really good ground not far from here, but I figured why not get a landowners tag and see if I couldn't kill something on my new farm. First sit was tonight and it was a pretty good one. Saw 3 bucks, 7 does and a coyote. This one was 180 yards, and put a good double lung shot on him, he ran 50 yards and died in, of course, the deepest part of the creek. Took some doing but I got him out, and am very happy with him.
