I arrowed a buck Sunday, Sept. 20th. We had a couple velvet pics in the summer and also a few hard horned pics early in Sept. I actually saw this buck out in the alfalfa field while walking out my first hunt of the year. He came out by another stand we have up so I decided to sit there the next night.

I setup on Sunday night near where he entered the field and sure enough he came right up the oak ridge just before sunset. He caught my silhouette and gave me the 25 second stare down but couldn't make anything of it. He wagged the ole tail and continued forward and cut uphill right into our 30 yard lane. I let the reaper go and it hit its mark. He went about 80 yards down the hill after hitting both lungs. Made for a heck of a drag.

I'm very proud of this buck as he has a beautiful frame and is my biggest 8 point ever. He scores a touch over 146 with nearly perfect symmetry.
