. I passed one that was into 200’s & he got sick next year & shot him & he was 190’s & maybe 130 lbs dressed. Passed a 210” that coyotes got. Passed a low 200’s that ended at 213” about 7-8 years ago. I wouldn’t ever say this stuff on social media. I’ll mention it here cause we know eachother & know it’s 0 about ego. & only a few guys are gonna read this 3 pages in here too

. Curtis sat on a spot I passed a gigantic typical - I believe he saw it as well. That one got killed by another buck - game warden called & got a call & it had a tine hole in his neck

Win some, lose some.
Heck, first year I hunted my 80 acres in Jefferson/van buren - early 2000’s ….. I shot a 170’s buck. Got my LO tag & next day I filmed a “giant” with a slight “limp”. Called him “Limper”. Neighbor called “dude, I got a giant!!” I said “did he have a limp?” “YA!!!!” Ya- that buck was 197. Ha!!! I regretted that one & I still get made fun of to this day passing a 197 on 80 acres.
Then there’s the years where a guy goes “I dont know of anything bigger than 150’s!!” Over this many years - good handful of bucks etched into my mind. & to this day I still say I saw a NET typical in Schuyler co IL that would out score Milo Hansen buck. That was also like 25 years ago. I had no chance as that buck stared me down for 10 minutes at about 75 yards. Bro saw him too. Ghosts of the past!!!!!
