2024 made me a Dad, and a Colorado Resident. It was a slow season, I didn't draw any tags and had to rely on OTC or Leftover + Private Land licenses in Colorado.

Oregon didn't treat us all that great while we were there Elk hunting. However, I killed a bull elk and pronghorn on the ranch I now reside with my new little family, and work on. I have a couple days left of deer hunting, but, due to my job I can't hunt anywhere close to the ranch so I have to travel quite a ways to hunt deer in the state. I captured and recaptured over 100 deer in 2024, mainly using a dart gun getting within 25 yards of them along with a 177" whitetail and 238" mule deer.

I was busy this summer flying back home every weekend while working up in Montana and then later on from Texas. While in Montana I decided to do a little bull riding at the local rodeo, ran a couple mountains, and then ran Mount Elbert here in Colorado (the tallest peak).

Thank you for the kind words, everybody! Unfortunately, I didn't harvest a deer either this year. But, when the family dog went missing, we figured a lion had gotten him. Some of our awesome neighbors came out with their hounds, and we found one 200 yards from the house in the rocks with a stomach full of canines and small felines, so it's a likely culprit.

Your mountain run stats r impressive. That's a ton of elevation gain in just over 2 hours. I'd have been maxed out, or over cooked, if I pushed that pace.

Huge kitty too. Too bad it took to eating pets. Neat animals.
