23 POINT ILLINOIS BUCK

I have a co-worker originally from Illinois that heard about this buck. I thought some of you might like to see what our neighbors to the east are up to. The picture isn't that good. Does anyone have any better pictures?

This state has demonstrated that it has the bucks to compete with states like Iowa, Kansas, Missiouri and alike. If I did not have good friends and a great guide who hunts in Iowa, I'd give this state a try.

I find it kind of comical how some folks think that if a deer has a lot of points that it must be BIG!! They say in the artical that the biggest buck they could find listed in the records was a 13 pointer that weighed 205 and was the world record. Is this Mel Johnson's buck they are talking about? Well granted this deer in the artical is nice but it ain't no state or world record that I can see.

My thought too G6, I would say it might make 210 non-typical..but nothing more..I am more concerned about deer that hit 240+non-typical, or 200+typical, hopefully I will be putting either my bow, or shotgun tag on one that big
