I learned a valuable lesson this weekend. Well first of all I should never have spent nearly $200 on a target. Second I should have taken it down before the rut.
Here is how I found my target on Saturday morning. I could not find the body of the deer after looking all around for a few hours. In my mind I was seeing some huge buck walking around with this target stuck to its head. It wasn’t until later in the day I spotted it from inside my house floating at the other end of 4 acre pond. When I went to retrieve my target it had some major puncture holes in the neck & on the arrow insert. My bedroom window is only 35 yards away & I didn’t hear a thing.
If anyone is curious I live in Norwalk just south of Des Moines.
