At Water Works park in Des Moines a park regular said he counted 39 turkeys walking by him in a single file line.
That is incredible, it was only 4 years the DNR stocked 10 birds at the park. We typically see several groups of 4-5 toms but have never seen them in one flock before.
He is one of several people who come to the park every day to watch deer, turkeys, geese, etc.
