I was wondering if you could use a 3D target as a decoy? At the deer classic, stan potts said somethin about pointing the head lookin into the woods with the decoy... couldnt you also do that for a 3D target... they are also much cheaper than a decoy? just thought id spice up this forum, but also an honest question!

Well I know I got holes in my glendale where he has encountered an angry buck or two that thought he was in the wrong territory while hanging out in the yard.

And once his antlers were removed, there was reports of another buck trying to mount it one morning, so there's no doubt in my mind you could use them as a decoy on a hunt as well.

Used to do it all the time. Only disadvantage is that the target is much heavier to carry out there.

We just started using a Delta 3D target and it works pretty good. Had one set out a few years ago and dad stashed it in some brush. He went back down to get it about three weeks later and the coyotes had eaten a ton of it. I bet there stomachs were rotting after that.

Alrite.. thats kinda all i needed to know.. so sum of u guys have had success in some way shape or form... so i mite give it a shot considering they are a bit cheaper! Thanx fellas!
