3rd Annual Rendevous Ideas !!

Now that it's been a month or so since the rendevous I thought maybe we could toss around some ideas for next years event. I know it's a ways off but it never hurts to get a few ideas together. As most know already we have the lodge booked for the whole weekend. We would like to really make it an entire family thing with several outdoor type activities. Not to mention a 3D course that is set up for everyone of all levels of experience to enjoy. Brad O (Ozzies Outdoors) is already doing what he does best (talking) to his contacts. I already talked to a rep from Beretta and they will be there. And to get commitments from any pro's you have to book them way in advance, so somethings it might not be so early. So toss some ideas out if something sounds good..................

Great Post! Having a few gun, bow and hunting product reps will be nice. I'm working with Knight Rifles currently.

Does anyone have contacts with any of the major video producers? It would be nice to get a some sneak previews of their 2004 video's before they hit the shelf.

Maybe a guest speaker on whitetail hunting.

Maybe Old Buck would have some slides to show of his Africa trip.

Prize raffles to help cover costs.

let me talk to a couple guys at scheels, maybe i can get the hoyt rep to come out since he lives fairly close i think. maybe talk to Hunter's Specialties and see if they'd be interested in helping sponsor it or somethig along that line.

pat reeve would be super cool, talked to him at the classic and think he'd be great fun.

maybe a novelty money shoot around the range?? my dad and i used to have a milk jug range set up when we ran the shop over by baldwin. it was an awesome way to keep sharp shooting skills, of course the shortest target was 40 yards.

I'd like to see some long range rim fire challanges set up. Everyone has a .22 around and they are cheap to shoot.

Now tie this into the 3-d course and 50 or 100 5 stand birds and give away KING OF THE MOUNTAIN- TOUGHEST DARN HUNTER AROUND prizes.Must participate in all events to qualify

How about that paintball thing too--I'm a pretty big target, but still game for the game.

to do all of that M350 it'd have to be a week long rendezvous!! hmmmmmm, that idea has some merit though!! i don't know how well hoagie would like us spraying his nice barn down with green and orange paint splatters!!!

Muddy--for a man who wants to run 72 miles in camo in the summer--you sure would think 2 days and three events wouldt be toooo big of a problem.Hey bring those noisy clothes up to N.E. Iowa next summer and I'll personally loosen up with my paintball birage.I hear fish oil is great for reducing noise and for your complexion to boot.

Dont worry about Hogies barn I will personally supply him with enough balls to ward off would be VANDALS

hey M350, the last 2 times i played paintball i had 18 confirmed "kills" and havn't been "shot" either time. bring it on!!!

Hey moose, how about calling the boys from MAGNUM SPORTS in Chattfield to bring down their pop up BUCKMASTERS 3D targets.. I have seen it done twice and it's a riot to heckle at this one.PLUS it will burn up ERIC OZ's arrows like popcorn.
