A different look in the trophy room

This is a work in progress. I'm doing this piece for my uncle who already has about every mount imaginable in his trophy room. He wanted something different and unique. Last fall he shot a nice mule deer in Wyoming then a great buck on his farm in Iowa. The WT was a fighter with 4 broken tines over 20 inches that I fixed. The the look we decided to go with was to have the aggressive WT staring down the younger and submissive mule deer.

I still have the finish work left and it will be a lot of fun creating the habitat scene around these 2 great bucks. I'll post the finished product when it's done.

Looking great, but don't hurry too much. I'll need to do a little shuffling to make room for these bad boys. Not the biggest specimens but certainly among the most interesting & unique. They WILL get a special place!
