A few summer time pics

With this nasty, crack sweaty weather we've been having, the photo ops have been few and far between but here's a few from last weekend.

There's always a few fields with tasseled corn by July, but this year about 50 percent of it was.

Still gotta pour the water to it!

With prairie hay going for $190.00 per ton, farmers are cutting all they have.

Wetlands are drying up which makes the fishing easy for the Herons. This is where i took the pics of spawning carp a month or so ago. It's just about gone.:(

Woodies are doing ok where there's water.

Wild plums should be ready in another month or so.

I've been pretty busy with kids and close family stuff but wanted to say that I've enjoyed the pictures Jay.

Great pictures Jay, I'm out in York, NE for a family reunion, and couldn't get over the amount of tasseled out corn. Saw a pile of buses yesterday hauling kids to de-tassel. Uggh, that had to be rough with the 104 degree heat.
