A way to commemorate her first deer

As most of you may remember my wife went deer hunting for the first time last year and had a very successful season. After her first day out she made sure to tell me that she was hooked on deer hunting. Her first deer she shot was a 10 pointer that scored 149 and change. She was so excited and I was ecstatic to share that moment with her. (and yes it is bigger than any deer I have shot) Lucky woman!!

We are still waiting to get the mount back from the taxidermist and we expect to be getting it back sometime in late August.

My wife has been contemplating getting a tattoo for quite some time now and has been wanting to get deer antlers put on her ankle. After some long thought and serious decision making she decided to get a tattoo of the buck she shot last year tattooed on her left ankle. So today we went to the Lasting Impressions tattoo shop in Ames to get her inked! This was her first tattoo and it will be a great reminder of the spectacular season she had last year.

cool thing about getting a deer tat is that maybe when she's 80 that thing will look like it's 175" with a droptine! haha /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
