access to woods

I'm looking for woods or shelterbelts to access and cut wood for making walking sticks and canes. I prefer hedge-apple (osage orange), black locust, mulberry and oak. I'm in eastern Iowa in the Quad Cities area. Please let me know if anyone knows where I could obtain some of this wood. Thanks!
 
I have a hedgeapple tree on my place I want gone. It's a pretty big tree. You have to take the whole tree though. I'm just outside of Columbus Junction.
 
Thanks, but I have no way to take out an entire tree, and no place to store the wood if I did. I'm just looking to cut limbs/branches.
