Accident

What a terrible thing to happen I also think that responsibility is the thing that helps the most "BE SURE OF WHAT YOU ARE SHOTTING AT & WHAT IS BEHIND YOUR TARGET"

My prayers go out to this family and esp to the father no one can even imangine what he must be feeling.
truely a heart saddening thing.

Can't even imagine what the family is going through right now. My famlies prayers and thoughts go out to them. As said in some other posts, make sure you know what it is your shooting at, if your not sure, don't guess.

we had a simular situation happen 2 years ago in Buffalo Co Wi. A driver came through an area he was not supposed to be. The deer came across a field and the stander shot up a draw. Unfortunately one of the drivers got mixed up with the terrain and came down the wrong draw and the stander accidently shot him. He was killed instantly. We have not all hunted as a group since. Some of our group gave it up, some just stand, I think about it every time I am near the spot. You can never be too safe and you can never wear too much safety orange.

Very sad.

Guys the bottom line is RESPONSIBILITY...be 100% sure of your target and it's surroundings. If your not than your gun should not be fired. I believe it's that simple.

[/ QUOTE ] You all know how it feels to get an adreneline rush, the excitement ,you all know the feeling...thats why we hunt ,plus I guess the father didn't know his son was even supposed to be where he was. Tragic result, but accidents are bound to happen when MILLIONS of hunts occur every year.
