Accuracy Trouble.

OK I am having a weird thing happen. I have been shooting my bow alot more lately and have realized I have major arrow drop at 50 yards and have adjusted my pin several times. Thinking it was more of a sight issue I started at 10 and so on. 10 yards dead center robin hood. 20 yards dead center,30 yards dead center,40 same result,50 yards hit target once then rest of the arrows hit way low..... What could be causing this, as I am dead center to 40 yards.

Just so I'm following correctly. You have had this 50 yard pin sighted in before with no issues? Nothing has changed in your setup either?

Only thing I changed is arrow length and size due to a new arrow. I was shooting longer arrows before.

What kind of rest are you using and when is the last time you had your bow tuned (especially paper tuned)? Maybe I missed it but where are you missing? I.e. Low, high, left, right?

I am shooting the QAD HD Pro drop away rest. I am shooting Low.... Bow has never been paper tuned as the local shop guy really acts like he don't have time to do it.

You could be dropping your bow arm to watch the impact at the longer distance. Try following through more.

Boy I don't know. I use a HHA with a dial so it's right on if you sight in at 20 and 40.

Only thing from long distances is follow through. Watch the arrow hit the target. If that doesn't work, I'd say your pin is off at 50.

I assume you mean your 50 pin is hitting low and you are going to have to move it down more than you think you should to get on target.
How are you lining everything up when aiming? Pin centered or sight housing centered in peep? Maybe an inconsistent anchor issue?
Someone mentioned dropping bow out of shot to try and watch arrow. Could be it.
I'd try moving the pin and seeing if you can shoot it consistently first.

It doesn't take much arm dropping to skew your shot at 50. I had similar trouble at times, and switched to shooting both eyes open. Took some adjusting, but I like it a lot better, especially at longer distances.

I agree with others. You are dropping your bow arm. Tuning may be an issue as well but is probably less so.

Any mistake will be greatly exaggerated at long distances.

That's odd. I had my bow tuned this summer and all my sights were off so I had to move the pins individually from the factory settings. If you were shooting fine before the change, then I find it hard to believe your shooting form would be the culprit. If you still consistently hit low regardless of form then I would move the 50 yd pin. My bow drops dramatically at 50+ yards and the gap between 40-50 is much more than the other gaps. I'm no expert but my two cents.

It is possible this could be your culprit although I am doubtful if all the other pins have held true with no adjustment. I'd have a hard time believing a different arrow would drop off that much quicker at a specific point. I would personally move the 50 yard pin and make sure you can be consistent with it. Any possibility that pin got bumped?

Makes the sight picture so much clearer, I switched to both eyes open and single pin amazing what it has done for accuracy.

Any tips on how to make the adjustment from one to two eyes. I can't seem to get used to it.

Jdubs. Took me a while to get it but it was worth it. What I did, and still do, is close my non dominate eye as I anchor to make sure my peep is lined up with my sight housing. I then go to both eyes open as I pick up my pin and start focusing on aiming. Had to really focus on this order at first now it's second nature.

I will try it again. I do like the bigger sight picture and better clarity but it's tough to aim.

Worked for me too, single pin HHA and both eyes open, oh yes and my trusty archery innovations anchor sight. Wouldn't give that up for anything!
