activity

heading back to Iowa in the morning for a 20 day vacation. Was home for 6 days the first week of Nov. Hopefully I can catch a good one moving between does.
 
Still seeing deer, stuck my buck looking for a doe and what do I see since then?! Bucks!!
 
One buck this morning rattled him to 50 yards but no closer. Thinking ire might be time for a decoy. Last night i saw nothing until after dark
 
Last night was slow but Friday night and Saturday I have seen lots of bucks cruising and chasing. One on my hit list was locked with a doe about 75 yds in front of me. Seems like a lot of my buck activity is between 10 and 1.
 
Not close to y'all but same here not a thing till 9 yesterday the 2 doe an fawns then at 11 4 doe an small buck chasing nothing after that. Yall had much luck rattling while they have does with them

Why are the fawns still with the does?? What's going on?
 
didnt see a single deer today. yesterday morning they were everywhere. still seeing does with young ones and little bucks together
 
Boone county is full swing lock down mode. Every buck I've seen in the last 24 hrs is tending a doe, after dark. Trail cameras are dead, scrapes are dead, day light movement has been limited to dink bucks and fawns.

Ditto. Hunting around Don Williams and only seeing does after dark.
 
Seen a small buck last night arnd 330, but the does have disappeared. Of course I only have a doe tag to fill!!

I agree..the big ones are locked down. Dinks to 130s are cruising from 10 to 1ish and then big boys are just keeping hot does separated from the herd. In the next 7 to 9 days the big ones will break loose and look for the last remaining does. That's when everything responds to calling! The reason you are still seeing some fawns with does is cuz they've been bred and have reunited with them again. They don't all come in at once...that's why the rut lasts approximately a month.
