I'd do it if it was in a box blind. I've done the 3am thing a couple of times. no success stories though.

Last year using a Summit Viper with the rails I slept in my stand all the time. I typically went into the timber at 4am in late Oct-November because almost everything I hunted was bedding areas. Daybreak and noon was about the most action times last year but it was also warm ALOT. I have thought about staying overnight in trees before just because I didn't feel like leaving and coming back so soon, but if I started doing that I'd never get anything done.
