Already seeing strutters in the fields!

Not at all Seen a flock yesterday with 3 strutters. Got home that night started going through my vest an got my gun all cleaned up. Can't come soon enough.

There's nothing sad about that. I start getting excited for spring turkey as soon as pheasant season is over.

Getting excited too. Been building calls last few weeks with my son. 1st I made, canary wood with a Local sandblasted call surface over a laser etched cherry sound Board. 2nd he built, spalted maple and has the same surface and soundboard. We are getting ready!!!

My son will be 8. He is hunting this year for the first time. I love turkey hunting, but am more excited about this spring than I’ve been in a long time.

I’d give up deer hunting for turkeys so not sad at all. The wife said she wants to try again this year so that’s going to be my main focus this season.

Warm Temps this morning had a few gobbles on the roost. I am taking my son out on his first turkey hunt this year.
