Yep. Carry a compact set when visibility from the stand is no more than 100 or so yards in any direction, but when sitting on a field edge where I can see along ways I always carry the 10x50 Steiners.
yes but rarely use them, if i have to look for horns it isnt something i will be shooting. only use them when i am looking for flat toppers, to make sure they arent buttons by mistake.
Carry them but the darn things fog up all the time. I bought some anti fog stuff but it didn't work. Any suggestions on anti fog products? I use them to watch the smaller bucks "up close" so I can identify them later and watch their movements and mannerisms. I maynot carry them this year in that Cornfed set me up with some contacts that give me the eyes of an eagle. A very old half blind eagle that is losing its feathers, but an eagle just the same.
no, glasses make binocs a pain in the butt. someday i will own a pair that have the screw in/out oculars that make it so much easier for those of us with glasses.
No, I use my range finder for closer looks when I need it. I will admit I've been considering buying a compact set of binoculars to start carrying to get better magnification.
