Any Tips

BOWSTRING

New Member
Got any helpful tips for a begginer? I got a B-mobile a strutting jake and 3 hen decoys.
Been getting my butt kicked for 2 years now. Hand 2 at 10 yards thursday morning went to put my release on the bow loop and it wouldn't open didn't have a shot by the time I got it open. This morning had 3 gobblin in the trees within 70-80 yards then a little after 6 some coyotes moved thru to the south of me making all kind of noise didn't here another gobble all morning. Maybe I just need some better luck.
Thanks in advance for any help.

You're all good. Turkey hunting is a screwed up mess at times, great one moment, can't work them with world class calling skills the next. Try some variance in your deke setups to see what works best with the local birds. It's all a trial and error deal but I do feel like certain things work with local flocks and honing in on those tendencies can help. Try to pattern bird movements much like deer hunting. You can learn alot by glassing out of season but alot of people don't want to take the time to do so. Even then, it's a crapshoot to some degree. Turkeys are moody creatures.
