Plot starter. I was looking into this as it would be alot easier to apply then Ag Lime. And you don't have the exspense of a high dollar spreader.

Looks like a great idea.

I bought some as a trial. I got the package of the plot starter and the plot boost for 1 acre. I used it on a brassica plot that I had to re-do to a rye/clover/turnip plot. This plot was about 1/2 an acre in size. I am going to use the plot boost I think next spring or summer. I don't have high hopes for this plot, so I didn't want to "waste" the plot boost if we get a frost any time soon. I am hoping the plot starter was/is able to improve my soil PH, but I never got around to a soil test after applying to "test".

One product that I was really impressed with though was a foliar fertilizer by Antler King called "Jolt". My bottom plot was flooded and there was no way to get in there to apply traditional fertilizer with the soil conditions. I spent 2 good hours spraying my brassica plot and to my amazment it has really turned around! Everything was brown/yellow/purple and now it has turned around and everything is "green" again.

I just ordered some of both, and found out after that applying the boost would be a waste at this point on Brassica plots. But, using the Starter might give be a short benefit on my rye plots till 1st frost, which could be any time.

He recomended applying these within two weeks of planting, or at planting.

I also hoped to use both on white clover plots. Boost is a waste fore sure, but may go ahead on the starter right before a rain.
