Anyone heard about this buck??

The email circulating says it was shot in Mingo, IA...by a felon and was confiscated by the IDNR. It goes on to say that the deer is bigger than the Albia buck.

Judging from the picture is a large deer, but no where near the Albia buck. I've gotten email confirmation that the deer was shot legally and by a legal hunter. I guess time will tell the rest of the story.

In fact this is an incredible deer. This deer had 56 or 58 inches of mass (unreal) and was displayed in the iowawhitetail booth at the classic. Here is a link for a picture of the finished taxidermy. One of my all time favorite bucks! Whitaker

227 3/8 is what it scored at the classic. At least that's what it says on the Deer Classic website.
